Understanding Protected vs. Unprotected Orders

In your Shipments tab, each order is marked Protected or Unprotected.

Here’s what determines each status:

Protected Orders

Order item(s) are Protected when:

  • It’s a physical item
  • It’s delivered within Australia
  • It’s below the $10,000 item value limit
  • It does not match an exclusion you’ve set
  • It is compliant with NTI’s policy rules

Unprotected Orders

An order item(s) will appear Unprotected if:

  • It exceeds the $10,000 limit
  • It’s delivered outside Australia
  • The product type is excluded under the NTI policy
  • The shipment matches an exclusion rule (tag, supplier, carrier)
  • It’s not a physical product
  • It wasn’t fulfilled correctly in your ecommerce store
  • It does not have a shipping address
