Supplier-based exclusions let you exclude any product associated with a specific vendor.
This is useful if the supplier already insures those products or handles their own delivery risk.
How Supplier Exclusion Works (Shopify)
Parcel Protect reads the Vendor field from your ecommerce store.
Whatever text appears in that field must exactly match what you enter in the Merchant Portal.
How to Exclude Products by Supplier
- In Shopify, open a product and check the Vendor field
- Enter or confirm the supplier name you want to exclude
- Save the product
- In the Merchant Portal, go to Customise Cover → Supplier
- Select Edit
- Add the exact supplier name and click Add
- Save and confirm the change
How It Appears in Shipments
Any product from that supplier will display as:
- Unprotected
- Tooltip: Supplier exclusion
You can remove the supplier from your list anytime to restore coverage for future shipments.
How Supplier Exclusion Works (Wix)
Parcel Protect reads the Category field from your ecommerce store.
Whatever text appears in that field must exactly match what you enter in the Merchant Portal.
How to Exclude Products by Supplier
- Identify the Supplier Category that you would like to exclude from cover
- Click Edit in the Shipments tab
- Type the name of the Supplier Category you wish to exclude. Ensure this exactly matches the test in the Wix category field
- Save your changes
- To re-commence protection of a Supplier, click Edit and remove the Supplier Category from the list by clicking 'X'
How It Appears in Shipments
Any product from that supplier will display as:
- Unprotected
